NATIVE GREY is a Native North American version of the European Earl Grey made with the Camelia Sinensis and oil of the Bergamot Orange, Citrus bergamia. NATIVE GREY Native Grey blends the naturally caffeinated Yaupon leaf with the properties of the Mondara Didyma.
Ethnobotany
Bee Balm is native to North America and was used regularly by many indigenous people, including the Blackfoot Tribe. Rich in Thymol, Bee Balm was used for its antiseptic properties and for skin, mouth and throat infections. Botanist Dr. Nicholas Mondares, whose name was given to the Latin name, Mondara, thought this scarlet variety of Bee Balm was reminiscent of the bergamot orange, Citrus bergamia. Coupled with the native Yaupon which was used and traded within the Cherokee People this makes a very satisfying cup of tea.
Add some organic vanilla, and frothed milk for an amazing “Texan Fog!”
